ʻOnipaʻa will:
Purpose: to cast a vision, share knowledge, and practice the skills of abstinence outside of lifelong marriage. Abstinence is newly defined as: no sexual activity outside of lifelong marriage.
Rationale: Successful, fulfilling, abundant lives.
Kids come from bus' up homes, broken families, with hurting keiki & hurting parents. They desire to be the men and women who break those generational curses. They don't want to just survive; they want to thrive.
They want to understand how to have custody of their mind, emotions, & bodies before they get into trouble. They are asking for tools to make it through to adulthood. They are hungry for dialogue to help them understand themselves and the choices they might make.
They want to have a plan. They want to avoid teenage pregnancies (like their sister, cousin, friend). They want to overcome the poverty cycle they see all around them (often associated with pregnancies before marriage, college, commitments).
They want the happily ever after story. They want faithful marriages & relationships full of love. The kids want to be successful in life!
'Onipa'a utilizes the sexual risk avoidance curriculum called Heritage Keepers.
